Petruchio and Katherine go back to Petruchio's household, where Petruchio begins yelling at his servants. He assaults them physically, and when they bring him dinner, they say that it is burnt and throws it on the floor. Katherine is so shocked at his behavior and she tells him that the meat was fine. She protests but he sends her off to her chamber. When he returns, he tells his servants his plan. Like a falcon, he plans to starve and keep her sleepless so she will behave better.
