The wedding banquet proceeds, and attending it are the three new couples- Hortensio and his widow, Petruchio and Katherine, and Lucentio and Bianca. Petruchio is teased about Katherine being a shrew, and the widow insults Katherine about it as well. The three women exit, and the men continue to say that Petruchio has the worst wife. They set a wager saying about whose wife will come first when summoned. Bianca says she is busy, the widow says so as well, and tells her husband to come to her. Katherine on the other hand, comes right away, and Petruchio sends her to gather the other women. When they come, he orders Kate to tell them their duties as wives and she makes a speech to them how women should love and obey their husbands at all times. Kate and Petruchio kiss, and go to bed. After they leave the other men comment on how well Petruchio tamed his shrew.
